Vice Admiral Herbert José Del Álamo Carrillo

He was born on March 4, 1964 in Lima. He entered the Naval School of Peru on February 23, 1981, graduating with the rank of Alférez de Fragata on January 1, 1986.

He is qualified in Surface Warfare and Naval Engineering. He has followed the Intelligence Course by correspondence, Basic Course of General Staff, Command Course and Staff. He holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration and a Master's Degree in Development and National Defense.

During his on-board service, he has been the Breakdown Officer of BAP Bolognesi, Chief of the 3rd. Division of Auxiliaries of BAP Carvajal, Chief of the 1st. BAP Engineering Division Diez Canseco, Chief of the 3rd. Engineering Division of BAP Mariátegui, Head of the Engineering Department of BAP Mariátegui, Second Commander of BAP Carvajal and Commander of BAP Palacios.

He has been Head of the Personnel and Communications Division of the General Command of Naval Operations, Head of the Programming Department of the Marine Industrial Service, Chief of the Personnel Section of the Commander of the Surface Flotilla No. 1, Chief of the 3rd Section of the General Staff of the Commander of the Fourth Naval Zone, Chief of the Planning Section of the General Staff of the Navy, Chief of the Navy's Industrial Service, Chief of the 4th. Section of the General Staff of the General Command of Operations of the Pacific, Head of the Procurement Department of the Directorate of Supply, and Chief of the Industrial Service of the Navy - Callao.

On January 1, 2013, the government granted him the promotion to the rank of Rear Admiral and appointed him Commander of the Third Naval Zone. In 2015 he works as Naval Attaché to the Embassy of Peru in the United States of America, in 2017, he assumes the position of Executive Director of the Industrial Services of the Navy SIMA - PERU.

In 2019, the government granted him the promotion to the rank of Vice Admiral and appointed him as General Commander of Operations of the Amazon.
