Rear Admiral José Antonio Moreno Gonzáles

He was born on August 4, 1964 in Lima. When finishing his school studies, he entered the Naval School of Peru on March 1, 1984, graduating as Ensign of Frigate on January 1, 1989.

He is qualified in Naval Engineering. He has followed the Correspondence Intelligence, Basic Staff, Command and Staff, Maintenance of Diesel Engines, MTU 595 Motors courses and has a reclassification in Naval Engineering. Followed the Maritime Policy and National Security Program. He holds a Master's degree in Maritime Strategy, and a Master's Degree in Naval Engineering in Brazil as part of the Mission of Study Abroad.

During his service on board, he was Head of the Operations Department at BAP Aguirre and Head of the 2nd. and 3rd. Division of the Engineering Department in BAP Paita.

He has been Head of the Maintenance Department at the Naval Barracks of La Perla, Head of the Fluvial Component and Land Naval Establishment at the Commander of the Fourth Naval Zone in Puerto Maldonado, Project Manager for Metallic Structures and Vessels, Head of the Statistics Division , Head of the Private Projects Division and Head of the Office of Private Clients in the Navy's Industrial Service, Head of the Department of Naval Maritime Sciences in the Naval War College, Head of the Office of Social Civic Action with Sustainability in the General Command of Operations of the Amazon and Executive Deputy Director of the Marine Industrial Service, as well as Officer of the Naval Construction Division in the Industrial Service of the Callao Marina.

In 2017, the government grants him the rank of Rear Admiral and is appointed Commander of the First Naval Zone (which covers the areas of Tumbes, Piura, Lambayeque, Cajamarca, Amazonas, La Libertad).

In 2018, he served in the Ministry of Defense. On February 1, 2019, he will assume the position of Defense and Naval Attaché to the Embassy of Peru in the Republic of Italy.
