Captain Juan Martin Tafur Velit

He was born on February 7, 1973. He entered the Navy on March 1, 1989, graduating on January 1, 1994 as Ensign of Frigate.

It is qualified in Submarines. He has followed the Intelligence Correspondence courses, Basic of Staff, Operations Submarines and Advanced Tactical, Command and Staff Resident Superior Management Program for Defense. He has a Diploma in Personnel Management, Diploma in National Security and Defense, Diploma in Public Administration and Public Management, Diploma in Management and Anticorruption Tools. He holds a Master's degree in Public Management and a Master's Degree in Development and National Defense.

During his service on board was Secretary and Communications Officer in the BAP Pisagua, Head of Weapon System in the bap chipana, Deputy Commander of the bap chipana, Commander bap chipana.

He has been Officer in Charge of 4th Cadets. Year in the Naval School of Peru, Commission of the Service in Argentina in charge of the General Direction of the Personnel of the Navy, Head of the Operations Office in the Command of the Submarine Squadron, Sub-head of the Submarine School, Staff Officer in the Joint Command of the Armed Forces, Commander of the Naval Submarine Station, Administrative Manager Naval Center - Headquarters San Borja, Captain of the Port of Salaverry, Head of the Division of Improvement Programs in the General Directorate of Education of the Navy, Chief of the Department of Investigations in the General Inspectorate of the Navy, and Commander of the Submarines Squadron.

He currently serves as Defense and Naval Attaché to the Embassy of Peru in the Republic of Chile.
