Commander Manuel Alejandro Zuñiga Medina

He was born on September 21, 1975. He entered the Navy on March 4, 1994, graduating on January 1, 1999 as Alférez de Fragata.
He is qualified in Naval Engineering, Surface Warfare, and Electronics. He has followed the basic courses of Intelligence, Basic Staff, Command and Staff, and Internal Control. He has a Master's degree in Maritime Strategy.
During his service on board, he was Head of the Logistics Department at BAP "Santillana", Head of the Artillery Division at BAP Montero, Head of the COC Division at BAP Montero, Head of the Operations Department at BAP Quiñones , and Second Commander of BAP Aguirre.
He has been Head of Instruction of the School of Recruits in the Command of the First Naval Zone, Chief of Communications and Official Secretary in the Directorate of Intelligence of the Navy, Staff Officer in the Naval Station of Pucallpa, Head of the Operations Department in the BAP Montero, Head of the Office of Total Quality and Innovation at the Naval School of Peru, Head of the Department of Commercial Operations at the Naval Station of Paita, Official Secretary of the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Navy, and Official Secretary and Communications in the General Inspectorate of the Navy.
He currently serves as Attached Naval Attaché to the Embassy of Peru in the United States of America and Liaison Officer in the General Staff of the Atlantic Fleet Command of the United States Navy.
