Captain Manuel Rivadeneira Madrid

He was born on September 11, 1969 in Lima. He joined the Peruvian Naval Academy on March 1, 1987, graduating as Ensign on January 1, 1993.

He is specialist in Submarines and in Systems Engineering. Graduated in the following programs: Basic Intelligence, Basic Staff, Command and Staff, High Command; Underwater Operations and Advanced Tactics course; Military Professional Education Phase II course. He has a Diploma on Management Specialization in Process Quality. He also holds a Master degree in Maritime Strategy.

He is been on board Peruvian Navy ships like B.A.P. "Islay" as Head of Administration Department, Head of Engineering Department at B.A.P. "Antofagasta"; Executive Commander at B.A.P. "Antofagasta" and Commanding officer at B.A.P. "Arica".

During his tenure ashore, he has served as Head of Base Parts Office at the Naval Submarine Station; Officer in charge of Cadets of 3rd. year at the Naval Academy; Head of Network Connection Division in the Naval Communication Directorate; Deputy Chief at the Submarine School; Head of 1st Section of the General Staff in the Submarines Command; Officer of the Command Post of CE-VRAEM. Also, Pisco Port Captain; Head of the Submarine Modernization Project of the Direction of Naval Enlistment; and Head of the Prevac Office in the General Directorate of Naval Materials.

In 2018 he was appointed Deputy Defense and Naval Attaché to the Embassy of Peru in the Federal Republic of Germany, concurrent in the Republic of Poland and the Czech Republic.
