Captain Sergio Cobos Chávarri

He was born on July 28, 1970. He entered the Navy on March 1, 1988, graduating on January 1, 1993 as Alférez de Fragata.

He is qualified in Marine Infantry, and Electronics and Communications. He has followed the Basic courses of Naval Parachuting, Special Subversive, Intelligence by Correspondence, Basic Staff, Command and Administration in the Army of Peru, Command and Staff of the Armed Forces, High Command Program, and Internal Control. He has an Anti-corruption Management and Tools Diploma.

During his service on board, he was Head of the Logistics Department at BAP Santillana, and Chief of the 1st. Logistics Division at BAP Aguirre.

He has been a Staff Officer in the Marine Infantry Battalion No. 2, Company Chief in the Marine Infantry Battalion No. 4, Squad Leader in the Marine Infantry Battalion No. 1, Second Commander of the Special Combat Unit, Head of Qualification Course for Marine Infantry Officers at the Marine Infantry School, Chief of Communications at the Marine Infantry Command, Head of the Naval Training Department at the Technical Training and Naval Training Center, Second Commander of the Navy Battalion Marine Infantry No. 2, Commander of the Marine Infantry Battalion of Jungle No. 2, Chief of Institutional Negotiations, Counterintelligence and Psychological Operations and Civil Affairs - 2nd General Staff Section in the Pacific General Command Command, Second Commander of the Station Naval de Paita, Commander of the Marine Infantry Detachment El Salto, Head of the Affairs Unit Internationals in the Joint Command of the Forces, Chief of the General Staff of the Naval Component of the VRAEM, Chief of the General Staff in the Command of the Second Naval Zone.
